PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE REGISTERING
As coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and program administrators, it is critical that we all work diligently to uphold and insure that the leagues’ policies and guidelines are followed. This includes certifications of all coaches, assistant coaches and team managers in the area of background checks (risk management) and concussion training (health management). For the safety of the children and to mitigate risk for you and the IHRC, it is MANDATORY that each and every coach (head and assistant) and team manager complete their background check and concussion training before stepping onto the field.
STEP ONE - RISK ASSESSMENT / BACKGROUND CHECK
You must have a valid background check through the NSCI system in order to coach for Indian Hill Recreation Commission. The NSCI background checks are valid for three years.
- If you have had a background check for another IHRC sport in the past 3 years, you are good to go. Please scroll down to Step Two.
- If you are new to coaching at IHRC and have not had an NSCI background check performed, please register here at the main IHRC website before completing the Soccer Coaching registration below.
STEP TWO - CONCUSSION TRAINING CERTIFICATION
All Coaches MUST complete Concussion Training and provide a pdf copy of their completion certificate within this registration & certification process. You will not be able to complete the registration without one.
- If you previously completed concussion training for an IHRC sport during the past two years, you need only provide a pdf copy of your training certificate of completion where requested within the registration and indicate the date of completion. Your concussion training is good for two years from the date of completion.
- If you have not completed concussion training - BEFORE you enter this registration program, please make sure you have completed one of the following free training options and saved the final certificate of completion to pdf. You will need the pdf file to complete your registration:
